Day 2 of the first all-digital Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is in full swing. The event is once again providing a platform to showcase the futuristic concept of devices.   

Day 2 of the event showcased brands from General Motors to Razer who shared concepts of products including a flying car and a smart N95 mask.  

So, in this post, we are sharing some of the highlights from the second day of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES):  

GM’s concept of Flying Cadillac Car  

Years of prediction and forecasts have made it on stage with GM introducing the concept of flying cars. Before you get too excited, remember that GM’s futuristic flying Cadillac car is just a concept.    

But, right now we are just getting a glimpse of the future of the car. According to GM’s conceptual car, the flying vehicle will be able to hold only one passenger and it will be fully autonomous.

Razer’s Smart N95 mask  

Through the years, Razer has been known for its crazy concept devices at CES. However, it is safe to say that this year was different. This year, Razer showed the smartest mask in the world with the code-named “Project Hazel”.   

The all-new smart mask is a reusable N95 respirator. Its outer shell is scratch-resistant and waterproof. Its new N95 Mask has voice projection and LED RBG lighting.  

The company also revealed a concept of a gaming chair which is called Project Brooklyn. Their high-tech gaming chair comes with a wrap-around curved OLED display which can also roll.  

AMD Announces Ryzen 5000 Processors  

AMD had finally caught up to the rumors and announced Ryzen 5000 series processors for the mobile version. The new processes are based on its Zen 3 at CES 2021. The new processors are aimed at gamers and content creators. At the same time, its U-series chips are designed for thin-and-light gaming laptops.   

Ryzen 9 5980HX has 8 cores and 16 threads and both H and U-series are based on AMD’s 7nm Zen 3 technology. There is also a 35-watt version with the 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake H35 CPUs. For ultra-thin laptops, AMD promised 20+ hours of battery life.

AMD said: “The 5000 series chips would be available in the first half of the year.”   

Lenovo’s ThinkBook will Have an E-ink Touchscreen

Lenovo’s dual-screen ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 I laptop will now have 12-inches of usable area and improved screen resolution. Other than that, the laptop is now thinner and lighter and powered by Intel’s 11th Core processors.   

The battery is new intel powered laptops can run for 15 to 24 hrs when using the e-ink display. It also supports wireless charging and the e-Ink UI. It is expected to be available sometime in the first quarter of 2021.  

Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 Will Have the Fastest Laptop Display  

At CES 2021, Asus announced the new ROG Strix Scar. The new gaming laptop will have the world’s fastest laptop display with a 17-inch and 1,920×1,080-pixel IPS-level panel. It will also have a 360Hz refresh rate, 100% sRGB color gamut, and a 3-millisecond response time.   

The laptop will be powered by AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070, or 3080 with 16GB VRAM graphics, 200MHz SDRAM memory, and 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (RAID 0) storage.  

The new gaming laptop is for esports players and professional gamers and focuses on the best specs and powerful performance.
