According to a Threads post by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerburg, the search feature is growing in most English and Spanish-speaking countries a week after they began testing it in Australia and New Zealand.

The expansion will bump into countries where people post in English and Spanish, including Argentina, India, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The launch of a full-text search will allow users to seek out keywords and topics being discussed on the platform. Earlier the search was strictly restricted to searching for other users.

Fading Victory for Threads

Since its outstanding debut, Threads has become the fastest social media app to reach 100 million users to date. The reason for this is its ties to Instagram as users had both followers and a following. However, Mobile intelligence firm Sensor Tower reported in August that Threads’ daily active users fell 82% since its launch. Now, the number has come down to just 8 million users accessing the app daily. The new search feature is an effort to increase engagement on its app.

Other new features include a fully functional web app, desktop access, a chronological feed where you can see your likes, a repost tab, and other minor changes. With this Threads may get an extra jolt with the expansion of search.

Zuckerberg’s Timing With the Latest Update on the Digital Markets Act

Zuckerberg suggested the rollout of the search will continue as he noted that after the English and Spanish-speaking markets, there would be ‘more to come’. This list isn’t confirmed, but it supposedly doesn’t include any countries of the European Union (EU). Since the introduction of the Digital Markets Act (DMA), Meta is trying to avoid any trouble as the new regulation is focused on user data protection from online services.

When it comes to other challenges, Threads still has X to worry about. Elon Musk has much bigger plans for the social media platform in the near future. Meta’s Threads has to figure out how to stand apart from X. As for who comes out on top in the Twitter vs Threads battle, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Snapchat is getting ready to venture into the world of generative AI technologies. This news comes following Snapchat’s introduction of its chatbot ‘My AI’ earlier this year. The ‘My AI’ chatbot can provide visual responses with Images in addition to text. Indicating that Snapchat’s AI can be the next big thing for Social Media Platforms.

Snapchat is now experimenting with AI images with its next generative AI tool named ‘Dreams’. But soon, those photographs might include you and your friends in imaginative surroundings.

Snapchat ‘My AI’

The app made headlines in April when it revealed that the ‘My AI’ function would be available to all users worldwide. Essentially, removing the need for a paid subscription to access it.

The business’s decision targets ChatGPT’s capabilities as they are integrated within the app and want to make this feature free for all.

Personalization of user answers through ‘My AI’ created encounters that resembled chats with friends. These interactions included suggestions for vacation destinations, lens ideas, and helpful text-based chat responses. The chatbot was created to provide instantaneous responses akin to human-like interactions and was built using OpenAI’s GPT technology.

The New Features of Snapchat’s Upcoming Generative AI

Steve Moser is an app researcher and developer. According to him, the company has been working on features that will let Snapchat users capture or upload selfies that will enable the program to make new pictures of you in different scenarios. This sounds comparable to features seen in other AI photo apps available on the App Store.

Instead, according to Moser’s research, Dreams envisions a way to use AI-generated selfies to put pictures of you in fantastic places and scenarios. Snapchat would need clean selfies to work with. Not the ones with other people in them or ones where your features are hidden. Users will receive advice from the program on how to take better AI images by using a variety of viewpoints, facial expressions, and lighting conditions.

Snapchat Dreams with Friends

The company is also working on a feature called ‘Dreams with Friends’ where users may authorize their friends to produce these AI images that feature them. In addition to enabling you to enter these AI Dreams, this function is also under development.

Dream Packs are mentioned in the Snapchat app, which further suggests that this feature may someday be a monetizable option.

Is it Worth the Hype?

Maybe or maybe not! But one thing is for sure, the industry is getting familiar with AI instead of neglecting it. If Snapchat pulls this off, it would be an industry game-changer. Also, it would give users new ways to create/generate snaps. AI is changing the world, but it is unclear if it is for good or bad.

TikTok’s Banning History

TikTok already faces its ban in the city of New York from 2020. It also got banned in cities like New Jersey, Ohio, Texas, and Georgia.

The Platform got banned from government devices in December 2022, by the U.S. House of Representatives. Earlier this year, there was forced pressure on TikTok from the Biden administration to part ways with its Chinese ownership.

Shou Zi Chew, the CEO of TikTok, was interrogated by senators for five hours during a congressional hearing in March amid worries that China would use the app to jeopardize national security. TikTok differs from other significant social media firms headquartered in the United States since it is owned by Chinese tech behemoth ByteDance. Chew said, “Let me state this clearly: ByteDance is not an agent of China or any other country.”

A law banning TikTok in Montana was signed by Governor Greg Gianforte in May, and it will go into force in 2024. Contrary to earlier state-level measures, the restriction would also affect the popular app’s accessibility to non-government-issued smartphones.

Security Concerns

The prohibitions in the US and other countries mention general security worries about ByteDance. Although there hasn’t been any proof to date, Beijing might still threaten to use the hugely popular social platform for spying.

China has a prolonged history to influence the decision of companies operating in the country. The sole reason is the government buys majority stakes in private companies to influence and overturn any decision taken against their will.

Banning TikTok from some parts to banning it in the country was first initiated by the Indian Government in the covid era. The ban was an effect of the security threats reason. The platform was allegedly storing user data and passing it to the Chinese government without users knowing it. Hence the Indian government banned TikTok and many other Chinese apps in the Covid Era.

Future of the Platform

TikTok has grown immensely as a social media platform. Advertisers are switching to TikTok over other mediums because of high user engagement and customer preference. Also, TikTok is planning to launch an e-commerce app soon. But, if the platform doesn’t sort out its security concerns, it would be very difficult to stay in the market for long!

YouTube promises to roll out a new, safer method for creators to direct Shorts viewers to other YouTube content. The new update will be live by the end of September.

What does it mean to Creators?

The step is pretty harsh considering that YouTube already has algorithms meant to detect and remove fraudulent connections. However, it completely disables these links rather than relying on this technology. Since the modifications will be implemented progressively, not all links will be inoperable as of August 31.

YouTube Shorts to Remove Links, to Make the Platform Spam Free
YouTube also plans to eliminate clickable social media symbols from channel banners on desktops. It cites them as a “source of misleading links”. These links help creators diversify their material by directing viewers to other handles or sponsors to increase revenue. So, there is a drawback to these changes. YouTube plans to address new methods for user safety which include links in their content.

YouTube’s Future Plans & Release date

To comply with the platform’s Community Guidelines, YouTube intends to give creators a new area on their channel profiles to add prominent, clickable connections to websites, social media profiles, merch sites, and other links.

On August 23, this update will begin to appear on desktop and mobile devices. It may appear close to the ‘subscribe’ button. The GIF below provides a glimpse of how this should seem to mobile users.

Criticism by YouTubers

Over the past few years, a lot of well-known creators have decried YouTube’s spam issue. To combat the problem, YouTube unveiled new policies. In June of last year, only a few weeks after popular YouTubers like Marques Brownlee, and Linus Tech Tips broadcast videos highlighting how pervasive spam had become in their channel comments. At that time, improvements included taking away the option for creators to conceal their subscriber count and opening access to a tougher moderating system that YouTube had begun testing in December 2021.

Conclusion

YouTube as a platform is a bread earner for many creators out in the market. This is an exceptional way to put the stakeholders in a prime spot. Making the platform less spammy and user-friendly is another step towards maintaining its supreme position in the video platform industry.

It’s been a few days since Elon Musk announced that Twitter is now “X”. Elon even changed the logo of the Social media platform which was widely loved. Now the billionaire has renamed TweetDeck to XPro. It’s been a rollercoaster week for the company, to say the least.

Instead of using the @TweetDeck handle for the product, the business has switched to @Pro. However, “Twitter” and “TweetDeck” references may still be seen throughout the program, including on the help page.

TweetDeck rebranded as XPro

He had also stated at the time that XPro would include “a wide range of psy op plugins.” It’s still a secret what kind of plugins will be there, and what their functionality will be.

It’s been a month since Twitter put a limit to how many tweets its users can read due to the platform’s extended outage. The outage caused hinderance to users’ ability to track new posts. In the incident, TweetDeck users complained about the notification and columns failing to load. There was a series of events that took place when Elon took ownership of X, formerly known as Twitter.

The last announcement was made on July 4. So, we can assume, X will make XPro/TweetDeck a paid-only feature in the next few days.

What is TweetDeck?

TweetDeck is vital, For many social media professionals. It enables you to watch the activity across multiple accounts simultaneously. It can display dozens of tweets at once, with numerous timelines updating in real time. TweetDeck makes it simpler to remain up to date on breaking news events by displaying timelines in a chronological order.

Problems with “X” Rebranding

Elon & Company is facing hardship after rebranding Twitter with “X”. The company acquired the @X handle from the prior owner without paying compensation or giving notice. Additionally, it appears that Apple made an exemption for the social network business to allow it to name its app with just one character. Usually, the iPhone manufacturer forbids developers from naming their apps with just one character in the App Store. The San Francisco Department of Building Inspection received complaints about the flashing ‘X’ sign from the Musk-owned company over the weekend and requested that it be taken down from its office building.

It’s been a tough outing for “X” since its rebranding. Will they tackle all the obstacles and regain supremacy on Social Media platforms? Let’s just wait and see how the drama unfolds.

Twitter has started paying a share of the ad to verified creators. And, people from the Twitter ad creator’s community confirmed receiving the revenue. What does Twitter’s paying its creators imply? How can creators claim the ad revenue share? Let’s find out.

About the Ad Revenue Distribution

According to Elon Musk, the first batch of creator payments will amount to $5 million and will be cumulative from the beginning of February. These payments will be made using Stripe. Creators who are eligible to monetize on Twitter must meet the following requirements.

1. You must live in one of the countries where Twitter’s monetization programs are offered.

2. You must be 18 or older.

3. You must have a Twitter account that has been active for at least three months.

4. You must have a complete profile that includes an account name, bio, profile picture, and header image.

5. You must have a verified email address

6. You must connect a verified Stripe account.

7. Maintain a minimum of 500 active followers.

8. Have posted Tweets in the past 30 days.

For More: Visit Twitters Rules & Policies Page

Once these requirements are met one can claim the ad revenue share.

Creators Receiving Payouts

According to what some major producers are revealing on Twitter, these payouts are enormous. A writer, Brian Krassenstein, with about 750,000 followers, claimed Twitter paid him $24,305. Another one on the list is SK, a creator with about 230,000 followers. He claims to have earned $2,236 through Twitter, while political pundit Benny Johnson claims to have earned $9,546.

Terms of Payouts

Tweet impressions decide Twitter payouts. Babylon Bee, writer at Ashley St. Clair (710,000 followers) made $7,153 with 840 million impressions from February to July. If we calculate her rate, it will be around $0.0085 CPM or $8.52 per million impressions. It’s unclear whether individual CPMs differ from user to user.

Twitter is monetizing the advertisements that appear in tweet replies because it would be difficult to figure out which authors to pay for ads served in the feed. This is the same challenge short-form video platforms like TikTok are facing with revenue sharing. Of course, this means that artists will want to entice people to respond to their tweets.

In the best-case scenario, this would spark dialogue, but as we know from platforms like Facebook, intense emotions generate the most participation. This may lead to some creators posting highly controversial content. There is a solution for this, and not all content creators can earn money through this current program. Sexual content won’t be monetized on Twitter according to its content monetization standards. Twitter will also not enable content creators to monetize content regarding known scams like pyramid schemes, violence, criminal behavior, gambling, or drugs and alcohol. And obviously, copyrighted content that they don’t control.

Is this Twitter’s Way of Combating Instagram Threads?

Days after Twitter’s rival Threads launched, it gained a whopping 100 million users within just 5 days. Thread, in a short amount of time, has gained people’s attention. But, it is too early to say that Threads would be able to maintain the user base, let alone say that it has surpassed Twitter.

Twitter paying revenue to ad creators is a ray of hope to attract users and people to the platform. And if we take YouTube as an example, compensating creators will surely improve Twitter’s growth prospects

Twitter is set to receive a competitor from Meta’s Instagram Threads on the 6th of July. The Instagram app’s App Store listing displays an iPhone-optimized version.

META is famous for capitalizing on any chance it sees to capitalize on a fresh arrival in the market. It is not the first time that the company is launching a competitor to existing platforms. The perfect example of this was during the lockdown when Instagram introduced Reels. It became an instant hit as TikTok was getting banned in some countries due to privacy issues. Now, with Twitter’s unclear future, Instagram is set to launch Threads. A feature that will be like Twitter’s text-based threads.  Considering Twitter’s ongoing controversies, this seems like a brilliant move by Meta.

The Reason for the Introduction of Instagram Threads

Since Elon Musk took over Twitter, it has seen a drop in the user base due to various issues in the company. To capitalize on this situation Instagram is ready to launch Threads.

Last week, Twitter set temporary rate limits that block you after reading a set number of tweets in a day. It also blocked unregistered users from seeing tweets. Users were unable to browse the service throughout the weekend as a result of these adjustments.

Apple App store showing Threads LaunchMeta posted a launch date teaser to the Instagram app. The search bar displays a ticket icon when you type “threads” (or any of a range of other phrases) into the search box. When you tap it, a spinning ticket with your Instagram username and a local launch time display the equivalent of 10 AM ET on the 6th. The spinning ticket also has a QR code that connects to threads.net, which appears to be the online homepage for the brand-new social media platform.

How Does the Instagram Threads Feature Work?

Here is the app’s official, brief description as it appears on the App Store:

“Say more with Threads – Instagram’s text-based conversation app. Threads are where communities come together to discuss everything from the topics you care about today to what’ll be trending tomorrow. Whatever it is you’re interested in, you can follow and connect directly with your favorite creators and others who love the same things – or build a loyal following of your own to share your ideas, opinions, and creativity with the world.”

Instagram Threads, Process to get started

Twitter Issues & Elon Musk’s Reaction to the Launch

In addition, Twitter is abruptly implementing significant modifications to TweetDeck. This is after the program started to malfunction. The true reason behind it is speculative. But, it is likely the pressure of scrapers mining for data to feed AI models. Additionally, TweetDeck will be a paid tool soon.

Over the holiday weekend, many Twitter users attempted to switch to Bluesky. But, it suspended new user signups for more than a day to fix problems brought on by people rushing the app.

Elon Musk responded to several tweets following the announcement of Instagram’s announcement. Some of these referred to the quantity of customer data that Threads’ App Store description on Meta claims it may gather.

The shots fired by Elon are straight after he and META CEO Mark Zuckerberg agreed on a cage fight. While that may or may not come to fruition, the META vs Twitter battle has commenced.

Instagram in the US will be rolling out a feature to allow users to download reels directly on their devices. Speaking of which, TikTok, Instagram’s rival had allowed users to do so for around a few years to gain a wider reach.

Instagram over the years has brought many updates/features to the social media app. The update and features had made it a great and easy-to-use app. Today, Instagram is the go-to app for content creators to publish their content online. Content Creators affiliates, influencers, and the company promote themselves on these platforms while other users use the platform for content consumption and browsing.

Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, on the IG broadcast announced that they will begin rolling out the feature in the United States. He further added that it will only be available to public accounts. Creators may turn off this feature and prevent their material from being downloaded. It is unclear whether the reel download feature will be available on all devices, and it will be worth watching.

How Do Instagram Reels Work?

The Instagram Reel was introduced on August 5, 2020, and is a method to make and discover short, amusing videos on the platform that is controlled by Meta. Instagram Reel enables users to record, edit, and share 15-second multi-clip Videos with audio, effects, and fresh design tools. Then, through Explore, these can be made available to the larger community as well as shared with followers on Feeds.

How to Download the Reels?

Simply, hit the Share symbol on a reel you like and choose Download. Reels shared by private users cannot be downloaded, and public accounts can disable the ability for others to download their reels in Account Settings.

Mosseri did not explain in his announcement whether the downloaded reels will bear IG’s watermark, as is the case with TikTok video downloads and YouTube clips. YouTube began including its branding in downloaded’ shorts’ to prevent cross-platform video sharing.

Instagram has 2.35 million active users globally. But since this feature is just for the US, Instagram can soon roll out this feature to the remaining countries. This can add to the popularity of Instagram and can increase its user base significantly.

Social media has become an indispensable part of our daily lives. From individuals to businesses, everyone is actively using social media platforms to connect, share and engage with others. As social media has gained prominence, so has the importance of having a seamless approval process for social media posts. With multiple stakeholders involved, it can become overwhelming to keep track of everything. However, with a well-defined social media approval process, businesses can ensure consistency, brand compliance, and effective messaging.

Let us discuss the best ways to build a seamless social media approval process.

Define Your Social Media Goals

Before diving into the approval process, it’s essential to have a clear understanding of your social media goals. Are you trying to increase brand awareness, generate leads, or drive sales? Depending on your objectives, the tone, style, and content of your social media posts will vary. Defining your social media goals will help you create a consistent messaging strategy. Ensure that your posts align with your overall marketing strategy. To achieve your goal faster you can choose the shortcut and real Instagram followers for quick growth.

Identify Your Social Media Team

Identify the key stakeholders involved in your social media approval process. Depending on the size of your organization, you may have multiple teams responsible for social media, such as marketing, sales, or customer service. It’s essential to have a designated point of contact for each team to streamline the approval process. This person should be responsible for reviewing and approving posts for their respective teams.

Define Your Social Media Approval Process

Once you have identified your social media team, it’s time to define your approval process. Depending on your organization’s size and complexity, your approval process can be simple or complex. Here’s a sample approval process that can work for most organizations:

Draft the Social Media Post The first step in the social media approval process is to draft the social media post. This involves creating the copy, selecting images or videos, and adding any necessary links or hashtags. When drafting the social media post, it’s important to keep in mind the overall social media strategy and goals. What message are you trying to convey? Who is your target audience? What platform are you posting on? These questions will help guide the content creation process and ensure that the post is aligned with the overall social media strategy.

Initial Review – Once the social media posts have been drafted and reviewed by team members, the designated point of contact for the social media team should conduct a final review of the post before it is scheduled for posting. This final review is critical to ensuring that the post is accurate, compliant, and consistent with the brand’s messaging and tone.

Approval – Once the initial review is complete, the designated point of contact should submit the post for approval. The post should be reviewed and approved by all stakeholders involved in the process, including legal, compliance, and senior management.

Scheduling – Once the posts have been approved, they need to be scheduled for publishing on the appropriate social media platforms at the right time. Most social media management tools, including Hootsuite, Sprout Social, and Buffer, offer scheduling features. That enables you to schedule your social media posts in advance. You can specify the exact date and time that you want your posts to be published on each social media platform. Which can help ensure that your content is published at the most optimal times for your audience.

Use Approval Tools

Using social media approval tools can streamline the approval process and help you avoid costly errors. Here are some popular approval tools you can consider:

Hootsuite Hootsuite is a social media management tool that allows you to schedule, publish, and manage social media posts across multiple platforms. Hootsuite also offers a built-in approval workflow, allowing you to set up an approval process for your social media posts.

Buffer – Buffer is a popular social media management tool that enables businesses and individuals to manage multiple social media accounts from a single dashboard. One of the key features of Buffer is its approval workflow feature, which allows team members to collaborate on social media posts before they publish.

Trello – Trello is a project management tool that allows you to manage tasks, workflows, and processes. You can create a Trello board to track the status of your social media posts. Assign tasks to team members, and set up notifications for approvals.

Train Your Team

Training your team on the social media approval process is critical to ensuring compliance and consistency. Provide your team with training materials, including best practices, compliance guidelines, and templates. It’s also a good idea to conduct regular training sessions to ensure that your team is up-to-date on the latest social media trends and platforms. Besides that, you can make a good reputation by achieving likes quicker on your posts. For that you can Buy Cheap Instagram Likes from a reputable source.

Conclusion

Having a seamless social media approval process is crucial to ensuring that your social media posts are consistent, compliant, and effective. By defining your social media goals, identifying the key stakeholders, and implementing a robust approval process. You can ensure that your social media posts are always on brand, on message, and on schedule. There are a variety of tools available. That can help streamline your social media approval process, including Hootsuite, Sprout Social, and Buffer. These tools enable you to create, review, and approve social media posts from a centralized dashboard, ensuring that your team is always on the same page.

Ultimately, a seamless social media approval process requires a combination of clear communication, defined roles and responsibilities, and the right tools and technologies. By implementing these best practices, you can streamline your social media workflow and drive better results from your social media marketing efforts.

9to5Google notes that some users have reported that they were able to enable this feature on iPhones and iPads, however, its access was a little unpredictable. (Apparently uninstalling and reinstalling the app might help)
