Leaked Specs and Features of the iPhone 14 Series
The latest report leaked the launch of the upcoming iPhone 14 series. The report reveals that the iPhone 14 series is expected to launch in September 2022, probably around the second week of the month. Although the specific launch time has not been revealed yet, the launch timeframe of two iPhone 14 models has been tipped in the latest report.
The iPhone 14 Series Leaks
According to Ross Young (Founder and CEO of DSCC), the shipments of the iPhone 14 Max and the iPhone 14 Max Pro will (supposedly) be delayed by a month. Owing to Apple’s product launch strategies, new iPhone models are generally available for purchase two weeks subsequent to their official launch. However, that might not be the case for the iPhone 14 Max and the iPhone 14 Max Pro.
Speaking of the other two models, the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro might be available for purchase readily after the launch. So, people who have been awaiting the iPhone 14 Max and the other top-end models of the series will have to be patient and wait for further updates from the smartphone manufacturer.
Interesting Changes in the Specs and Models
Coming back to the report, further reveals that all four iPhone models in the iPhone 14 series will be launched altogether during Apple’s upcoming fall event. The delay will be caused in the shipment process only. Although the reason behind this is unclear, sources suggest it might be due to strict lockdowns in China due to rising cases of COVID-19.
There’s another interesting catch to the upcoming iPhone 14 series. Usually, Apple relies on LG and Samsung Display for the manufacture of displays of the iPhones. In fact, the company has previously ordered the Chinese company BOE for the manufacturing of iPhones. However, this might not be happening with the iPhone 14 series and that is huge!
Speaking of the models, Apple is expected to release four new models under the iPhone 14 series. These will be namely:
- iPhone 14
- iPhone 14 Pro
- iPhone 14 Max
- iPhone 14 Max Pro
The report further suggests that Apple might not be launching a mini version for the iPhone 14 series. It will, rather, announce the iPhone 14 Max. Apple is also reportedly laying off the mini model for its upcoming series as it is impacting the iPhone SE series—the latest one in the series being the iPhone SE (2022).
Other Curious Updates
As usual, building curiosity among users ahead of the launch of a product has been one of the age-old marketing strategies of Apple. Following are some other revelations of the report for Apple’s upcoming iPhone 14 Series:
- Larger sensors
- Better battery life and powerful processor
- A pill-shaped notch design on the front (iPhone 14 and 14 Max will have the same wide notch design)
- A15 Bionic Chipset; A16 Bionic Chipset for the Pro models
These are the revelations for Apple’s upcoming iPhone 14 series. Anticipatedly, there might be some other features to the upcoming series as well.
